1901: Jag såg, och på de fyra sidorna om andarnas Herre varseblev jag fyra ansikten, olika de andra, som funnos där, och deras namn fick jag veta, ty den ängel, som gick med mig, sade mig dem och visade mig alla de förborgade tingen.

1882: And he said to me: "The first is the holy Michael, merciful, slow to anger; and the second, who is over all sicknesses and over all the wounds of the children of men, is Rufael; and the third, who is over all the powers, is the holy Gabriel; and the fourth, who is over penitence and the hope of those who inherit everlasting life, is Fanuel." And these are the four angels of God, the Most High, and the four voices I heard in those days.

These are the four angels of the most high God, and their four voices, which at that time I heard.
1826: Han svarade: den förste är den nådige, den tålige, den helige Michael. Den andre är han, som styrer öfver menniskornas söners alla lidanden och bedröfvelser, den helige Raphael. Den tredje, som styrer öfver allt, som är mäktigt, är Gabriel, och den fjerde, som styrer öfver ångren och deras förhoppningar, som vilja ärfva det eviga lifvet, är Phanuel. Dessa äro den aldrahögste Gudens fyra änglar, och deras äro de fyra röster, hvilka jag vid den tiden hörde.
1901: Och han sade till mig: Den förste är den barmhärtige och långmodige helige Mikael. Och den andre, som är satt öfver människobarnens alla sjukdomar och sårnader, är Rafael. Och den tredje, som härskar öfver alla krafterna, är den helige Gabriel. Och den fjärde, som är satt öfver deras ånger och hopp, som skola ärfva det eviga lifvet, är Fanuel. Och de äro den högste Gudens fyra änglar, och de fyra rösterna hörde jag i de dagarna.
