1. The righteous are confident that sinners will be disgraced, and perish in the day of iniquity.

 1. Believe, ye just, for the sinners will come to shame, and will be destroyed on the day of injustice.

 1. Believe, ye righteous, that the sinners will become a shame And perish in the day of unrighteousness.

 1. De rättfärdige äro öfvertygade, att syndare icke skola finna nåd, utan förgås på orättfärdighetens dag.

 1. Tron, I rättfärdiga, ty på skam komma syndarna och skola förgås på orättfärdighetens dag.
2. You shall yourselves be conscious of it; for the Most High will remember your destruction, and the angels shall rejoice over it.

 2. It will be known to you that the Most High is mindful of your destruction, and the angels rejoice over your destruction.

 2. Be it known unto you (ye sinners) that the Most High is mindful of your destruction, And the angels of heaven rejoice over your destruction.

 2. J skolen sjelfve erfara det; ty den Aldrahögste skall ihågkomma eder undergång, och änglarne skola glädja sig deröfver.

 2. Det skall varda eder kunnigt, att den Högste tänker på eder undergång och att änglarna fröjda sig däröfver.
3. What will you do sinners? And where will you fly in the day of judgment, when you shall hear the words of the prayer of the righteous?

 3. What will ye do, ye sinners, and whither will ye flee, on that day of judgment, when ye will hear the voice of the prayer of the just?

 3. What will ye do, ye sinners, And whither will ye flee on that day of judgement, When ye hear the voice of the prayer of the righteous?

 3. Hvad viljen J göra, J syndare, och hvarthän viljen J fly på domens dag, då J fån höra orden af de rättfärdigas bön?

 3. Hvad viljen I göra, I syndare, och hvarthän viljen I fly på domens dag, då I skolen höra rösten af de rättfärdigas bön?
4. You are not like them who in this respect witness against you; you are associates of sinners.

 4. Ye will not be like those, ye against whom this word will be a testimony: "Ye have been companions of the sinners."

 4. Yea, ye shall fare like unto them, Against whom this word shall be a testimony: "Ye have been companions of sinners."

 4. J ären icke lika dem, som härom vittna emot eder; J ären syndares stallbröder.

 4. Och det skall icke gå eder såsom dem, eder, mot hvilka dessa ord skola vara som vittne: I hafven varit syndarnas stallbröder.
5. In those days shall the prayers of the righteous come up before the Lord. When the day of your judgment shall arrive;

 5. And in those days, the prayer of the just will reach the Lord, and the days of your judgment will come to you.

 5. And in those days the prayer of the righteous shall reach unto the Lord, And for you the days of your judgement shall come.

 5. I dessa dagar skola de rättfärdigas böner hinna upp till Herren. När dagen för eder dom kommer

 5. Och i de dagarna skall de rättfärdigas bön tränga till Herren, och för eder skola eder doms dagar komma.
6. and every circumstance of your iniquity be related before the great and the holy One; Your faces shall be covered with shame; while every deed, strengthened by crime, shall be rejected.

 6. And all the words of your injustice will be recited before the Great and Holy One; and your faces will be filled with shame, and each work that is founded on injustice will be cast off.

 6. And all the words of your unrighteousness shall be read out before the Great Holy One, And your faces shall be covered with shame, And He will reject every work which is grounded on unrighteousness.

 6. och hvarje omständighet af eder orättfärdighet berättas inför den store och helige Ende; Skola edra ansigten betäckas med blygsel, och hvarje handling, som blifvit bekräftad genom brott, skall förkastas.

 6. Och allt edert orättfärdiga tal skall uppläsas inför den Store och Helige, och edert anlete skall blygas, och hvarje verk, som är grundadt på orättvisa, skall förkastas.
7. Woe unto you, sinners, who in the midst of the sea, and on dry land, are those against whom an evil record exists.

 7. Woe to you sinners, in the midst of the ocean and over the land whose remembrance of you is evil!

 7. Woe to you, ye sinners, who live on the mid ocean and on the dry land, Whose remembrance is evil against you.

 7. Ve eder, J syndare, som midt på hafvet och på torra landet ären de, mot hvilka ett ondt vittnesbörd finnes.

 7. Ve eder, I syndare, i hafvets midt och på fasta landet, hvilkas hågkomst af eder är ond.
8. Woe to you who squander silver and gold, not obtained in righteousness, and say, We are rich, possess wealth, and have acquired everything which we can desire.

 8. Woe to you who acquire silver and gold without justice, and say: "We have become rich, and have treasures, and possess everything we desire;

 8. Woe to you who acquire silver and gold in unrighteousness and say: "We have become rich with riches and have possessions; And have acquired everything we have desired.

 8. Ve eder, som förslösen silfver och guld, icke förvärfvade i rättfärdighet, och sägen: vi äro rika, besitta ägodelar och hafva förvärfvat allt, hvad vi kunna önska.

 8. Ve eder, som förvärfven guld och silfver i orättfärdighet och sägen: Vi hafva blifvit rika och äga skatter och hafva allt hvad vi önska,
9. Now then will we do whatsoever we are disposed to do; for we have amassed silver; our barns are full, and the husbandmen of our families are like overflowing water.

 9. And now we will do what we contemplate, for we have gathered together silver, and our treasuries are filled, and as water so many are the workmen of our houses."

10. Like water shall your falsehood pass away; for your wealth will not be permanent, but shall suddenly ascend from you, because you have obtained it all iniquitously; to extreme malediction shall you be delivered up.

 10. And like water your lies will float away, for wealth will not remain for you, but will ascend suddenly from you, for ye have acquired it all in injustice, and ye will be given over to a great condemnation.

 10. Yea and like water your lies shall flow away; For your riches shall not abide But speedily ascend from you; For ye have acquired it all in unrighteousness, And ye shall be given over to a great curse.

 10. Likasom vatten skall eder falskhet rinna bort; ty eder rikedom skall icke blifva varaktig, utan skall hastigt skiljas från eder, emedan J hafven förvärfvat alltsammans med orättrådighet; till yttersta förbannelse skolen J blifva öfverlåtne.

 10. Och likt vatten skall eder lögn förrinna, ty I skolen icke behålla eder rikedom, utan plötsligt skall den tagas ifrån eder, emedan I hafven förvärfvat allt med orätt, och I skolen själfva antvardas åt den stora fördömelsen.
