Visitors to this website might be interested in a Christian preacher who spent two years at the United Nations, in 1947-1949, talking to all of the different national representatives about God's will for Israel.
His name was Rein Seehuus, a Norwegian pentecostal pioneer. His father started the first pentecostal assembly in Scandinavia in 1908, and his son Rein was mightily used in the revivals following, and founded several pentecostal assemblies.
In 1947, in a revival meeting where Rein Seehuus participated, there was another influential preacher, Aage Samuelsen, who gave a message in tongues. Rein gave the interpretation, and it was a commandment from God that a person present in the meeting should travel to New York, and be His servant at the UN. Rein felt that it was he himself who was that person.
Seehuus stayed in New York for two years. As editor for his magazine "Profetrøsten" ("The Voice of the Prophet"), he got a press card and could move freely among the delegates in the UN building. As he knew what his mission was, he spoke to the delegates about the prophecies in the Bible and that the Jewish people were to return to their homeland.

God continued to open doors for Rein Seehuus. One day he was allowed to speak from the official platform to the delegates, and afterwards a Chinese diplomat thanked him deeply for his speech.
Seehuus spoke personally to several of the national leaders, among them Trygve Lie, the Norwegian UN Secretary-General at that time.
According to the daughter of Rein Seehuus, Trygve Lie one time said, that it was after having heard Seehuus, that the Norwegian delegation decided to vote for letting the Jews have a national home in Palestine.
Thanks to his efforts for the Jewish people, Seehuus became friend with Abba Eban, who was to become the foreign minister of Israel.
In 1949 when Israel became a member of the United Nations, Seehuus was invited, and went to a big gathering in New York where the Israeli UN delegation celebrated.

Seehuus was very influenced by the great, world-wide Healing Revival during the 50's, and wrote about it in his magazine, and featured preachers as Kenneth E. Hagin, Oral Roberts, and others.
...
The reason I mention this, is that Rein Seehuus also was a very early "Christian Ufologist". During the 60's and 70's, he preached a lot about Flying Saucers, their relation to Gen. 6, and to the Book of Enoch. He also wrote articles for his magazine the Voice of the Prophet, on the same subjects.
It was when I read one of his articles, that my ministry in this area was awoken.
