Pioneer Christian Ufologists in the Healing Revival

Very few "christian ufologists", or followers of those, seem to be aware of, or just don't want to recognize, that the subject of ufo's, angels, and Gen. 6, was quite essential in the Healing Revival of the 1950's. Several of the blessed and richly used preachers of those days, including the editor of the magazine Voice of Healing, and Bible teacher, Gordon Lindsay, wrote and talked about this.

For example, in the April 1954 issue,¹ Gordon Lindsay published a chapter from his book, The Mystery of the Flying Saucers, in which he summed up those ufo incidents that had happened during recent years, and then he gave it a biblical interpretation. And even if he didn't go to the real depths of it, he touched on the connection to Gen. 6 and what that might mean for the near and coming future. ²

Another very blessed preacher, W. V. Grant (he wrote about 600 christian books!), spoke and published books about the ufo phenomenon, and the connection to the Bible. ³

Also the preacher who has been seen as the "starter" of the revival, through his emphasis on fasting and prayer, Franklin Hall, took up the subject in some of his books. ⁴

But, and this is important, these preachers also knew and felt, that it is the Gospel of Christ that is to be centered, and the life in the Holy Spirit. They never let the dark side get into the focus, they kept the balance, and brought forth as much, or more, light, as they revealed the darkness of their day. That is why some of their ministries are still among the most blessed, as Gordon Lindsay's Christ for the Nations.

The message of the nephilim, and the descended angels, and the giants, should be a part of the prophetic ministry in our time. But it cannot stand alone. It has to be in symbiosis with the other ministries of the Lord, the Apostle, the Teacher, the Evangelist. It has to be a part of a Christian assembly, or fellowship, where all the ministries and gifts are working and are received. Otherwise, it will bear little fruit and ultimately go wrong.

There needs to be a spiritual awakening among those who in our time have received the revelation of Gen. 6.

Franklin Hall seems to have recognized the theory of "ether ships" as in line with the biblical description of "the air" and its occupants.
