| 4. You being spiritual, holy, and possessing a life which is eternal, have polluted yourselves with women; have begotten in carnal blood; have lusted in the blood of men; and have done as those who are flesh and blood do. These however die and perish.

While ye were spiritual, holy, having eternal life, ye defiled yourselves with women, and with the blood of flesh have begotten children, and have lusted after the blood of men, and have produced flesh and blood as they produce who die and are destroyed.

And though ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have begotten (children) with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood as those also do who die and perish.

J som ären andeliga väsen, heliga och ägande ett lif, som är evigt, hafven besmittat eder med qvinnor; hafven aflat med köttsligt blod, hafven haft lystnad till menskligt blod och hafven gjort såsom de göra, hvilka äro af kött och blod. Desse dö likväl och förgås.

Medan I voren andliga och heliga, i åtnjutande af det eviga lifvet, haven I orenat eder med kvinnor och födt barn, haft begärelse till människor och aflat kött och blod, såsom de dödliga och förgängliga pläga göra.
