PROPHETEN ENOCH 1826

HENOCHS BOK 1901
1. And as to the death of the giants, wheresoever their spirits depart from their bodies, let their flesh, that which is perishable, be without judgment. (27) Thus shall they perish, until the day of the great consummation of the great world. A destruction shall take place of the Watchers and the impious.

(27) Let their flesh…be without judgment. Or, "their flesh shall be destroyed before the judgment" (Knibb, p. 102).

1. and of the death of the giants, when the spirits have proceeded from the bodies, their flesh shall decay without judgment; thus they shall be destroyed till that day when the great judgment over all the great world shall be completed over the watchers and the impious.

1. From the days of the slaughter and destruction and death of the giants, from the souls of whose flesh the spirits, having gone forth, shall destroy without incurring judgement – thus shall they destroy until the day of the consummation, the great judgement in which the age shall be consummated, over the Watchers and the godless, yea, shall be wholly consummated."

2. And now to the Watchers, who have sent you to pray for them, who in the beginning were in heaven,

2. And now to the watchers who have sent thee that thou shouldst petition for them who were formerly in heaven say:

2. And now as to the Watchers who have sent thee to intercede for them, who had been aforetime in heaven, (say to them):

3. Say, In heaven have you been; secret things, however, have not been manifested to you; yet have you known a reprobated mystery. And this you have related to women in the hardness of your heart, and by that mystery have women and mankind multiplied evils upon the earth.

3. 'Ye have been in heaven, and though the secrets were not yet revealed to you, still ye knew illegitimate mysteries, and these ye have, in the hardness of your hearts, related to the women, and through these mysteries women and men increase wickedness over the earth.'

3. "You have been in heaven, but all the mysteries had not yet been revealed to you, and you knew worthless ones, and these in the hardness of your hearts you have made known to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil on earth."

3. I haven varit i himmelen, och visserligen voro alla de förborgade tingen eder ännu icke uppenbarade; men flera hemligheter hafven I vetat, och dem hafven I uti edert hjärtas hårdhet meddelat kvinnorna, och därigenom anstifta män och kvinnor mycket ondt på jorden.

4. Say to them, Never therefore shall you obtain peace.

4. Tell them therefore: 'Ye have no peace!'"

4. Say to them therefore: "You have no peace."'

4. Säg till dem: aldrig skolen J derföre erhålla fred.

4. Säg dem alltså: I haven ingen frid.
