Äfven märkte jag öfver dessa källor ett ställe, som hvarken hade himmelens fäste öfver sig, eller den fasta marken under sig, ej heller fanns vatten der öfver, eller någonting lefvande, utan stället var öde.

Och öfver den klyftan såg jag en ort, som icke hade något himmelens fäste ofvan och ingen jordens grundval under sig, och där fanns intet vatten och inga fåglar, utan det var allenast en öde plats.
