| 4. But you endure not patiently, nor fulfill the commandments of the Lord; but you transgress and calumniate his greatness; and malignant are the words in your polluted mouths against his Majesty. You withered in heart, no peace shall be to you!

But ye have not persevered and have not done the commandment of the Lord, but have transgressed, and have slandered his greatness with high and hard words from your unclean mouths. Ye hard-hearted, ye will have no peace.

Men J fördragen icke tåligt eller uppfyllen Herrens befallningar, utan J synden emot och smäden Hans storhet; och fiendtliga äro orden i edra besmittade munnar emot Hans majestät. J, som uti edra hjertan ären förtorkade, skolen ej smaka freden.

Men I hafven icke hållit ut och icke uppfyllt Herrens lag, utan öfverträdt den och med högmodiga, hädiska ord ur eder orena mun smädat hans storhet. I hårdhjärtade, I skolen icke finna någon frid.
