1. After that period, in the place where I had seen every secret sight, I was snatched up in a whirlwind, and carried off westwards.

 1. And after those days, at that place, where I had seen all the visions of that which is hidden - for I was taken up by the whirling of the wind and carried toward the west -

2. There my eyes beheld the secrets of heaven, and all which existed on earth; a mountain of iron, a mountain of copper, a mountain of silver, a mountain of gold, a mountain of fluid metal, and a mountain of lead.

 2. there my eyes saw the secrets of heaven, all things that will be on the earth, a mountain of iron, and a mountain of copper, and a mountain of silver, and a mountain of gold, and a mountain of soft metal, and a mountain of lead.

 2. There mine eyes saw all the secret things of heaven that shall be, a mountain of iron, and a mountain of copper, and a mountain of silver, and a mountain of gold, and a mountain of soft metal, and a mountain of lead.

 2. Der sågo mina ögon himmelens hemligheter och allt hvad som fanns på jorden; ett berg af jern, ett berg af koppar, ett berg af silfver, ett berg af guld, ett berg af flytande metall, och ett berg af bly.

 2. där sågo mina ögon himmelens förborgade ting och allt som skall ske på jorden och ett berg af järn, ett af koppar, ett af silver, ett af guld, ett af droppmetall* och ett af bly.
3. And I inquired of the angel who went with me, saying, What are these things, which in secret I behold?

 3. And I asked the angel who went with me, saying: "What are those things which I have seen in secret?"

 3. And I asked the angel who went with me, saying, 'What things are these which I have seen in secret?'

 3. Och jag frågade ängelen, som gick med mig, sägande: Hvad äro dessa ting, som jag ser i hemlighet?

 3. Och jag frågade ängeln, som gick med mig, och sade: Hvad är det för ting, som jag sett i det fördolda?
4. He said, All these things which you behold shall be for the dominion of the Messiah, that he may command, and be powerful upon earth.

 4. And he said to me: "All these things which thou hast seen are for the power of his Anointed, that he may command and be powerful on the earth."

 4. And he said unto me: 'All these things which thou hast seen shall serve the dominion of His Anointed that he may be potent and mighty on the earth.'

 4. Han sade: alla dessa ting, som du ser, skola tillhöra Messiæ herravälde, på det han må herrska och blifva mäktig på jorden.

 4. Och han sade till mig: Allt detta, som du skådat, tjänar hans Smordes herravälde, på det att han må vara mäktig och väldig på jorden.
5. And that angel of peace answered me, saying, Wait but a short time, and you shalt understand, and every secret thing shall be revealed to you, which the Lord of spirits has decreed.

 5. Then this angel of peace answered and said to me: "Wait a little, and thou wilt see, and there will be revealed to thee every secret that the Lord of the spirits has planted.

 5. And that angel of peace answered, saying unto me: 'Wait a little, and there shall be revealed unto thee all the secret things which surround the Lord of Spirits.

 5. Och denna fredens ängel svarade mig, sägande: vänta blott en korrt stund, och du skall förstå, och hvarje hemlig sak skall blifva uppenbarad för dig, som Andarnes Herre har förordnat.

 5. Och fridens ängel svarade mig och sade: Vänta litet, så får du se och skall dig uppenbaras allt det som är förborgadt och som andarnas Herre har planerat.
6. Those mountains which you have seen, the mountain of iron, the mountain of copper, the mountain of silver, the mountain of gold, the mountain of fluid metal, and the mountain of lead, all these in the presence of the Elect One shall be like a honeycomb before the fire, and like water descending from above upon these mountains; and shall become debilitated before his feet.

 6. These mountains which thou hast seen, the mountain of iron, and the mountain of copper, and the mountain of silver, and the mountain of gold, and the mountain of soft metal, and the mountain of lead, all these will be before the Chosen One like wax in the presence of fire, and like the water which falls down from above on these mountains, and will be weak before his feet.

 6. And these mountains which thine eyes have seen, The mountain of iron, and the mountain of copper, and the mountain of silver, And the mountain of gold, and the mountain of soft metal, and the mountain of lead, All these shall be in the presence of the Elect One As wax: before the fire, And like the water which streams down from above [upon those mountains], And they shall become powerless before his feet.

 6. Dessa berg, som du sett, berget af jern, berget af koppar, berget af silver, berget af guld, berget af flytande metall och berget af bly, alla dessa skola inför den ende utvalde blifva likasom en honungs-kaka inför elden och likasom vattnet, hvilket nedstörtar från höjden af dessa berg, och skola böja sig inför Hans fot.

 6. Och de berg, som du har sett, af järn, koppar, silfver, guld, droppmetall och bly, de skola alla varda inför den Utvalde likt honung i eld och likt det vatten, som ofvanifrån nedströmmar öfver de bergen, och blifva svaga inför hans fötter.
7. In those days men shall not be saved by gold and by silver. Nor shall they have it in their power to secure themselves, and to fly.

 7. And it will come to pass in those days that no one will save himself, not with gold and not with silver: no one will be able to save himself or to flee.

 7. And it shall come to pass in those days that none shall be saved, Either by gold or by silver, And none be able to escape.

 7. I dessa dagar skola icke menniskorna blifva frälsta genom guld eller silfver. Och ej heller skola de hafva i sin makt att rädda sig sjelfva eller att fly.

 7. Och i de dagarna skall ske, att man hvarken skall kunna rädda sig med silfver eller guld; man skall icke kunna frälsa sig, ej heller fly undan.
8. There shall be neither iron for was, nor a coat of mail for the breast. Copper shall be useless; useless also that which neither rusts nor consumes away; and lead shall not be coveted.

 8. And there will be no iron for war and no clothing for a breast-plate; metal will not aid and zinc will not aid, and will not be beaten out, and lead will not be desired.

 8. And there shall be no iron for war, Nor shall one clothe oneself with a breastplate. Bronze shall be of no service, And tin [shall be of no service and] shall not be esteemed, And lead shall not be desired.

 8. Der skall då hvarken finnas jern för krig, eller en pantsarskjorta för bröstet. Metallen skall då blifva onyttig; onyttig äfven den, som hvarken rostar eller förtäres; och bly skall då icke eftersträfvas.

 8. Och det skall icke finnas något järn för kriget, ej heller någon pansarskrud. Koppar skall till intet gagna, icke heller tenn, och icke värderas, och bly skall icke åstundas.
9. All these things shall be rejected, and perish from off the earth, when the Elect One shall appear in the presence of the Lord of spirits.

 9. And all these things will disappear and be destroyed from the face of the earth, when the Chosen One shall appear before the face of the Lord of the spirits."

 9. And all these things shall be [denied and] destroyed from the surface of the earth, When the Elect One shall appear before the face of the Lord of Spirits.'

 9. Alla dessa ting skola då förkastas och utplånas från jorden, då den ende Utvalde skall synas inför Andarnes Herre.

 9. Alla dessa ting skola försvinna och utrotas från jordens yta, när den Utvalde synes inför andarnas Herres ansikte.
