| 2. Wisdom have I given you, to your children, and your posterity, that they may reveal to their children, for generations for ever, this wisdom in their thoughts;

Wisdom I have given thee and thy children and those who will be thy children, that they give it to their children, the generations to eternity, namely this wisdom above their thoughts.

I have given Wisdom to thee and to thy children, [And thy children that shall be to thee], That they may give it to their children for generations, This wisdom (namely) that passeth their thought.

Vishet har jag lemnat åt dig, åt dina barn och din afkomma, på det de må lemna åt deras barn, från slägte till slägte, denna vishet i deras tankar,

Vishet gaf jag åt dig och dina barn och åt dem af dina barn, som skola komma, att de må gifva henne åt sina barn, åt släktena ända i evighet, nämligen denna alla deras tankar öfverstigande vishet.
