| 5. Now then, O God, Lord and mighty King, I entreat you, and beseech you to grant my prayer, that a posterity may be left to me on earth, and that the whole human race may not perish; That the earth may not be left destitute, and destruction take place for ever.

And now, God and Lord and great King, I petition and ask that thou wouldst establish my prayer for me, that there remain to me a posterity on earth, and that thou wouldst not annihilate all the flesh of men, and not make empty the whole earth, and there be an everlasting destruction.

And now, O God and Lord and Great King, I implore and beseech Thee to fulfil my prayer, To leave me a posterity on earth, And not destroy all the flesh of man, And make the earth without inhabitant, So that there should be an eternal destruction.

Nu, o Gud, Herre och mäktige Konung, anropar jag Dig och bönfaller hos Dig, att Du hörer min bön, att afkomma måtte lemnas mig på jorden, och att icke hela menniskoslägtet måtte förgås. Att jorden ej måtte lemnas öde och förstörelsen icke räcka i evighet.

Och nu, o Gud och Herre, store Konung! anropar jag dig och beder, att du hör min bön och kvarlämnar på jorden efterkommande åt mig och icke utrotar alla människor och gör jorden öde så att fördärfvet evigt räcker.
