38. Then that sheep, their conductor, who became a man, was separated from them, and died. All the sheep sought after him, and cried for him with bitter lamentation.

And this sheep which led them, and which became a man, was separated from them, and reposed [in death]; and all the sheep sought it, and cried over it exceedingly.

Then that sheep, their leader which had become a man, withdrew from them and fell asleep, and all the sheep sought it and cried over it with a great crying.

Då skildes det fåret ifrån dem, hvilket varit deras anförare och blifvit menniska, och dog. Alla fåren sökte efter detta och ropade efter detsamma med bitter klagan.
