And they said to one another: "The emptied earth re-echoes the sound of their [i.e. mankind's] cries up to the gates of heaven.

och sade den ene till den andre: det är rösten af deras rop. Jorden, beröfvad sina barn, har äfven ropat vid himmelens port.

Och de sade sinsemellan: Människornas klagan kommer den öde jorden att genljuda ända till himmelens port.
