17. Then I saw, that the man, who wrote the book at the word of the Lord, opened the book of destruction, of that destruction which the last twelve shepherds (126) wrought; and pointed out before the Lord of the sheep, that they destroyed more than those who preceded them.

(126) The native princes of Judah after its delivery from the Syrian yoke.

And I saw that man who had written the book by the voice of God till he opened that book of destruction which those last twelve shepherds had practiced, and showed that they had destroyed more that those before them, before the Lord of the sheep.

And I saw that man, who wrote the book according to the command of the Lord, till he opened that book concerning the destruction which those twelve last shepherds had wrought, and showed that they had destroyed much more than their predecessors, before the Lord of the sheep.

Då såg jag, att den man, som skref boken på Herrens befallning, öppnade boken af den förödelse, hvilken de tolf sista herdarne *) gjort, och utvisade för fårens Herre, att de förstört mer, än de, som föregått dem.

*) De infödda Konungarna öfver Juda efter dess befrielse från Syriska oket.

Då såg jag, att den man, som skref boken på Herrens befallning, öppnade boken af den förödelse, hvilken de tolf sista herdarne *) gjort, och utvisade för fårens Herre, att de förstört mer, än de, som föregått dem.
