PROPHETEN ENOCH 1826

HENOCHS BOK 1901
1. From there I proceeded to the middle of the earth, and beheld a happy and fertile spot, which contained branches continually sprouting from the trees which were planted in it.

1. And from here I went to the middle of the earth, and saw a place, blessed and fruitful, where there were branches which rooted in and sprouted out of a tree that was cut.

1. And I went from thence to the middle of the earth, and I saw a blessed place in which there were trees with branches abiding and blooming [of a dismembered tree].

2. There I saw a holy mountain, and underneath it water on the eastern side, which flowed towards the south.

2. And here I saw a holy mountain, and beneath the mountain, towards the east, water which flowed towards the south.

2. And there I saw a holy mountain, and underneath the mountain to the east there was a stream and it flowed towards the south.

3. I saw also on the east another mountain as high as that; and between them there were deep, but not wide valleys. Water ran towards the mountain to the west of this; and underneath there was likewise another mountain.

3. And I saw towards the east another mountain of the same height, and between them a deep valley, but not broad: therein also water flowed along the mountain.

3. And I saw towards the east another mountain higher than this, and between them a deep and narrow ravine: in it also ran a stream underneath the mountain.

4. There was a valley, but not a wide one, below it; and in the midst of them were other deep and dry valleys towards the extremity of the three.

4. And towards the west of this was another mountain, lower than the former, not high, and below, between them a valley; and other deep and sterile valleys were at the end of the three.

4. And to the west thereof there was another mountain, lower than the former and of small elevation, and a ravine deep and drybetween them: and another deep and dry ravine was at the extremities of the three mountains.

5. All these valleys, which were deep, but not side, consisted of a strong rock, with a tree which was planted in them.

5. And all the valleys were deep and not broad, of hard rock. And trees were planted upon them.

5. And all the ravines were deep and narrow, (being formed) of hard rock, and trees were not planted upon them.

6. And I wondered at the rock and at the valleys, being extremely surprised.

6. And I was astonished on account of the rocks, and was astonished on account of the valley, and was very much astonished.

6. And I marveled at the rocks, and I marveled at the ravine, yea, I marveled very much.
