1. From there I advanced on towards the north, to the extremities of the earth. And there I saw a great and glorious wonder at the extremities of the whole earth.

1. And from here I went towards the north, to the ends of the earth, and there I saw a great and magnificent wonder, at the ends of the whole earth.

1. And from thence I went towards the north to the ends of the earth, and there I saw a great and glorious device at the ends of the whole earth.

1. Derifrån gick jag norr ut till yttersta gränserna af jorden. Och der såg jag ett stort och herrligt under vid yttersta gränserna af hela jorden.

2. I saw there heavenly gates opening into heaven; three of them distinctly separated. The northern winds proceeded from them, blowing cold, hail, frost, snow, dew, and rain.

2. There I saw three portals of heaven open in the heavens; from each of them proceed north winds; when one of them blows, there is cold, hail, frost, snow, dew, and rain.

2. And here I saw three portals of heaven open in the heaven: through each of them proceed north winds: when they blow there is cold, hail, frost, snow, dew, and rain.

2. Jag såg der himmelska portar öppnade uti himmelen, tre af dem voro tydligen åtskilda; de nordliga vindarne framkommo från dem, blåsande köld, hagel, dagg, snö, frost och regn.

3. From one of the gates they blew mildly; but when they blew from the two other gates, it was with violence and force. They blew over the earth strongly.

3. And out of one of the portals it blows for good; but when it blows from the two other portals, it blows with power, and there is misfortune upon the earth, and they blow with great power.

3. And out of one portal they blow for good: but when they blow through the other two portals, it is with violence and affliction on the earth, and they blow with violence.

3. Från en af portarne blåste de mildt; men då de båste från de två andra portarna, var det med häftighet och styrka. De blåste hårdt öfver jorden.
