1. In those days shall the elect and holy race descend from the upper heavens, and their seed shall then be with the sons of men.

 1. And it will come to pass in these days that the chosen and holy children will descend from the high heavens, and their seed will become one with the children of men.

 1. A[nd it †shall come to pass in those days that elect and holy children †will descend from the high heaven, and their seed †will become one with the children of men.

 1. I dessa dagar skall det utvalda och heliga slägtet nedstiga från de öfvre himlarne, och deras säd skall blifva ibland menniskornas söner.

 1. Och det skall ske i de dagarna, att de utvalda och de heliga barnen skola nedstiga från de höga himlarna och förena sig med människobarnen.
2. Enoch received books of indignation and wrath, and books of hurry and agitation. Never shall they obtain mercy, saith the Lord of spirits.

 2. In those days Enoch received books of zeal and of anger, and books of disturbance and of expulsion, and "mercy will not be upon them," said the Lord of the spirits.

 2. And in those days Enoch received books of zeal and wrath, and books of disquiet and expulsion.] And mercy shall not be accorded to them, saith the Lord of Spirits.

 2. Enoch emottog böcker om förargelse och vrede, samt böcker om öfverilning och häftighet. Aldrig skola de erhålla nåd, sade Andarnes Herre.

 2. I de dagarna erhöll Henoch nitälskans och vredens och orons och förvirringens böcker. Barmhärtighet skall icke vederfaras dem, sade andarnas Herre.
3. A cloud then snatched me up, and the wind raised me above the surface of the earth, placing me at the extremity of the heavens.

 3. And at that time, a cloud and a whirlwind seized me from the face of the earth, and carried me to the end of the heavens.

 3. Ett moln hämtade mig då upp, och vinden höjde mig öfver jordens yta, ställande mig på himlarnes yttersta gräns.

 3. Och i samma stund ryckte ett moln och en stormvind mig upp och bort från jorden och förde mig till himlarnas ände.

4. There I saw another vision; I saw the habitations and resting places of the saints.

 4. And here I saw another vision, the dwellings of the just and the resting-places of the holy.

 4. And there I saw another vision, the dwelling-places of the holy, And the resting-places of the righteous.

 4. Der såg jag en annan syn, jag såg de heligas boningar och sofrum.

 4. Och där såg jag en annan syn: de rättfärdigas boning och de heligas lägerställen.
5. There my eyes beheld their habitations with the angels, and their resting places with the holy ones. They were entreating, supplicating, and praying for the sons of men; while righteousness like water flowed before them, and mercy like dew was scattered over the earth. And thus shall it be with them for ever and for ever.

 5. Here my eyes saw their dwellings with the angels, and their resting-places with the holy, and they asked and petitioned and prayed in behalf of the children of men, and justice like water flowed before them, and mercy like dew on the earth; thus it is among them to all eternity.

 5. Here mine eyes saw their dwellings with His righteous angels, And their resting-places with the holy. And they petitioned and interceded and prayed for the children of men, And righteousness flowed before them as water, And mercy like dew upon the earth: Thus it is amongst them for ever and ever.

 5. Der sågo mina ögon deras boning hos änglarne, och deras sofrum hos de helige. De fällde böner och förböner för menniskornas söner, under det rättfärdighet likasom vatten flöt framför dem och nåden likasom dagg nedföll öfver jorden, och så skall det vara med dem i evighet.

 5. Där skådade mina ögon deras boningar hos änglarna och deras lägerplatser hos de heliga och sågo huru de bådo och anropade och bönföllo för människobarnen. Och inför dem flöt rättfärdighet såsom vatten, och barmhärtighet såsom dagg på jorden. Så är det ibland dem från evighet till evighet.
6. At that time my eyes beheld the dwelling of the elect, of truth, faith, and righteousness. Countless shall be the number of the holy and the elect, in the presence of God for ever and for ever. Their residence I beheld under the wings of the Lord of spirits.

 6. And in those days my eyes saw the place of the chosen of justice and of faith [fidelity], and how justice will be in their days, and the just and chosen without number before him to all eternity.

 6. And in that place mine eyes saw the Elect One of righteousness and of faith. And I saw his dwelling-place under the wings of the Lord of Spirits. And righteousness shall prevail in his days, And the righteous and elect shall be without number before Him for ever and ever.

 6. Vid denna tid sågo mina ögon de utvaldas boning, sanningens, trons och rättfärdighetens boning. Oräkneligt skall de heligas och utvaldas antal blifva i närvaro af Gud i evighet. Deras boningsplats såg jag under Andarnes Herres vingar.

 6. Och i de dagarna skådade mina ögon den ort, där de rättfärdiga och troende utvalda vistas, och sågo hur rättvisan härskar i deras dagar. Och oräknelig är de rättfärdigas och utvaldas skara inför honom från evighet till evighet.
7. All the holy and the elect sung before him, in appearance like a blaze of fire; their mouths being full of blessings, and their lips glorifying the name of the Lord of spirits. And righteousness incessantly dwelt before him.

 7. And I saw their dwelling under the wings of the Lord of the spirits; and all the just and chosen before him are ornamented as with the light of fire, and their mouths are full of blessings, and their lips praise the name of the Lord of the spirits, and justice before him will not cease.

 7. And all the righteous and elect before Him shall be †strong† as fiery lights, And their mouth shall be full of blessing, And their lips extol the name of the Lord of Spirits, And righteousness before Him shall never fail, [And uprightness shall never fail before Him.]

 7. Alla de helige och utvalde söngo inför Honom, till utseendet lika en eldslåga. Deras munnar voro fulla af välsignelser och deras läppar prisande Andarnes Herres namn. Och rättfärdigheten var oupphörligen framför honom.

 7. Och jag såg deras boningar under vingarna på andarnas Herre och såg huru alla de rättfärdiga och utvalda inför honom äro öfvergjutna liksom af eldens glans. Och deras mun är full af lof, och deras läppar prisa andarnas Herres namn, och rättfärdigheten upphör icke inför honom.

8. There was I desirous of remaining, and my soul longed for that habitation. There was my antecedent inheritance; for thus had I prevailed before the Lord of spirits.

 8. Here I desired to dwell, and my soul longed for this place; here my portion has been before, for such is established concerning me before the Lord of the spirits.

 8. There I wished to dwell, And my spirit longed for that dwelling-place: And there heretofore hath been my portion, For so has it been established concerning me before the Lord of Spirits.

 8. Der hade jag lust att qvarblifva, och min själ längtade efter denna boning. Der var min förut bestämda arfvedel; ty sådant företräde hade jag vunnit inför Andarnes Herre.

 8. Jag önskade bo där, och min själ hade lust till den boningen. Där har min del redan från begynnelsen varit, ty så är det bestämdt om mig inför andarnas Herre.
9. At that time I glorified and extolled the name of the Lord of spirits with blessing and with praise; for he has established it with blessing and with praise, according to his own good pleasure.

 9. And in those days I blessed and exalted the name of the Lord of the spirits with blessings and praise, for he has strengthened me in blessing and praise according to the will of the Lord of the spirits.

 9. In those days I praised and extolled the name of the Lord of Spirits with blessings and praises, because He hath destined me for blessing and glory according to the good pleasure of the Lord of Spirits.

 9. Vid den tiden prisade jag och upphöjde Andarnes Herres namn med välsignelse och med lof; ty Han har grundlagt det med välsignelse och lof, enligt sin egen goda vilja.

 9. Och i de dagarna lofvade och upphöjde jag med välsignelse och pris andarnas Herres namn, emedan han bestämt välsignelse och härlighet åt mig efter sitt välbehag.
10. That place long did my eyes contemplate. I blessed and said, Blessed be he, blessed from the beginning for ever.

 10. For a long time my eyes looked at this place, and I blessed him, saying: "Bless him, and let him be blessed from the beginning and to eternity!

 10. For a long time my eyes regarded that place, and I blessed Him and praised Him, saying: 'Blessed is He, and may He be blessed from the beginning and for evermore.

 10. Detta ställe betraktade mina ögon länge. Jag välsignade och sade: Välsignad vare Han, välsignad från begynnelsen i evighet!

 10. Länge betraktade mina ögon den orten, och jag prisade Gud, sägande: Pris vare honom, och lofvad vare han från begynnelsen och i evighet!
11. In the beginning, before the world was created, and without end is his knowledge. What is this world?

 11. Before him there is no ceasing; he knows, before the world was created, what the world is, and will be from generation to generation.

 11. And before Him there is no ceasing. He knows before the world was created what is for ever and what will be from generation unto generation.

 11. I begynnelsen, och förr än verlden blef skapad, och utan slut är Hans kunskap. Hvad är denna verlden?

 11. För honom finnes intet slut. Innan världen är skapad, vet han hvad den är och hvad som skall ske i den från släkte till släkte.
12. Of every existing generation those shall bless you who do not spiritually sleep but stand before your glory, blessing, glorifying, exalting you, and saying, The holy, holy, Lord of spirits, fills the whole world of spirits.

 12. Thee they praise who do not sleep; they stand before thy glory, and bless and glorify and exalt thee, saying: 'Holy! Holy! Holy! the Lord of the spirits fills the earth with spirits.'"

 12. Those who sleep not bless Thee: they stand before Thy glory and bless, praise, and extol, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of Spirits: He filleth the earth with spirits. "'

 12. Af hvarje lefvande slägte skola de välsigna Dig, som icke sofva i stoftet, utan stå framför din herrlighet, välsignande, prisande och upphöjande Dig, sägande: Den helige, helige Andarnes Herre uppfyller hela verlden med sina andar.

 12. Dig prisa de som icke sofva. De stå inför din härlighet och prisa, lofva och ära dig, sägande: Helig, helig, helig är andarnas Herre! Han uppfyller jorden med andar.
13. There my eyes beheld all who, without sleeping, stand before him and bless him, saying, Blessed be you, and blessed be the name of God for ever and for ever.

 13. And here my eyes saw all those who do not sleep, standing before him and blessing him, and they say: "Blessed art thou, and blessed the name of the Lord to all eternity."

 13. And here my eyes saw all those who sleep not: they stand before Him and bless and say: 'Blessed be Thou, and blessed be the name of the Lord for ever and ever.'

 13. Der sågo mina ögon alla dem, som utan att sofva stå framför Honom och välsigna Honom, sägande: välsignad vare Du, och välsignadt vare Guds namn från evighet till evighet!

 13. Och här sågo mina ögon alla dem som icke sofva, huru de stå inför honom och lofprisa och säga: Prisad vare du, och prisadt vare Herrens namn från evighet till evighet!
14. Then my countenance became changed, until I was incapable of seeing.

 14. And my face was changed until I could see no more.

 14. And my face was changed; for I could no longer behold.

 14. Då blef mitt ansigte förändradt, till dess jag ej var i stånd att se.

 14. Och mina ögon vordo bländade.
