1. And now, my son Mathusala, call to me all your brethren, and assemble for me all the children of your mother; for a voice calls me, and the spirit is poured out upon me, that I may show you everything which shall happen to you for ever.

 1. And now, my son Methuselah, call to me all thy brothers, and assemble to me all the children of thy mother, for the word calls me, and the spirit is poured out over me, that I show you all that will happen to you to eternity.

 1. And now, my son Methuselah, call to me all thy brothers And gather together to me all the sons of thy mother; For the word calls me, And the spirit is poured out upon me, That I may show you everything That shall befall you for ever.'

2. Then Mathusala went, called to him all his brethren, and assembled his kindred.

3. And conversing with all his children in truth, Enoch said, Hear, my children, every word of your father, and listen in uprightness to the voice of my mouth; for I would gain your attention, while I address you. My beloved, be attached to integrity, and walk in it.

 3. And he conversed with all his children concerning justice, and said: "Hear, my children, all the words of your father, and listen properly to the voice of my mouth, for I admonish you and tell you, my beloved, love rectitude and walk in it.

 3. And he spake unto all the children of righteousness and said: 'Hear, ye sons of Enoch, all the words of your father, And hearken aright to the voice of my mouth; For I exhort you and say unto you, beloved: Love uprightness and walk therein.

 3. Och samtalande i sanning med alla sina barn, Sade Enoch: hören, mina barn, hvarje ord af eder fader, och lyssnen i rättskaffenhet till min muns röst; ty jag vill äga eder uppmärksamhet, då jag talar till eder. Mine älskade, varen rättrådigheten tillgifne, och vandren i den.

 3. Och Henoch talade till alla sina barn om rättfärdigheten och sade: Hören, mina söner, eder faders ord och lyssnen så som sig bör till min muns röst, ty jag förmanar eder och säger eder, mina kära: älsken rättskaffenheten och vandren i henne.
4. Approach not integrity with a double heart; nor be associated with double-minded men: but walk, my children, in righteousness, which will conduct you in good paths; and be truth your companion.

 4. And do not approach rectitude with a double heart, and do not associate with those of a double heart, but walk in justice, my children, and she will lead you in the good path, and justice will be your companion.

 4. And draw not nigh to uprightness with a double heart, And associate not with those of a double heart, But walk in righteousness, my sons. And it shall guide you on good paths, And righteousness shall be your companion.

 4. Nalkens icke rättrådigheten med dubbelt hjerta, och sällen eder icke till dubbelsinnade menniskor; utan vandren, mina barn, i rättfärdighet; hvilken skall föra eder på goda vägar, och låten sanningen vara edert sällskap.

 4. Och närmen eder henne icke med dubbelt hjärta, och ställen eder icke till dem som hafva dubbelt hjärta, utan vandren i rättfärdigheten, mina söner, och hon skall leda eder på goda vägar och vara eder följeslagerska.
5. For I know, that oppression will exist and prevail on earth; that on earth great punishment shall in the end take place; and that there shall be a consummation of all iniquity, which shall be cut off from its root, and every fabric raised by it shall pass away.

 5. For I know that a condition of oppression will grow strong on the earth, and great punishment will be completed over the earth, and all injustice will be completed and be cut off by the roots, and its whole habitation destroyed.

 5. For I know that violence must increase on the earth, And a great chastisement be executed on the earth, And all unrighteousness come to an end: Yea, it shall be cut off from its roots, And its whole structure be destroyed.

 5. Ty jag vet, att förtrycket skall uppstå och få öfverhand på jorden; att på jorden skall stor bestraffning till slutet äga rum och att all orättfärdighet skall förgås, hvilken skall afhuggas från dess rot, och hvarje påfund, som den åstadkommit, skall försvinna.

 5. Ty jag vet, att ett tillstånd af våldsverkan skall taga öfverhand på jorden och en stor straffdom utföras på henne och all orättfärdighet få ett slut och afskäras från rötterna och hela dess byggnad förgås.
6. Iniquity, however, shall again be renewed, and consummated on earth. Every act of crime, and every act of oppression and impiety, shall be a second time embraced.

 6. And again injustice will be repeated, and all the deeds of injustice and the deeds of oppression and of sin will be renewed on the earth.

 6. And unrighteousness shall again be consummated on the earth, And all the deeds of unrighteousness and of violence And transgression shall prevail in a twofold degree.

 6. Orättfärdigheten skall likväl åter förnyas och förgås på jorden. Hvarje brottslig gerning och hvarje gerning af förtryck och ogudaktighet skall ännu en gång komma i svang.

 6. Och ånyo skall orättfärdigheten få makten, och all orättvisans och våldets och brottets gärningar skola taga en ände på jorden.
7. When therefore iniquity, sin, blasphemy, tyranny, and every evil work, shall increase, and when transgression, impiety, and uncleanness also shall increase, then upon them all shall great punishment be inflicted from heaven. The holy Lord shall go forth in wrath, and upon them all shall great punishment from heaven be inflicted. The holy Lord shall go forth in wrath, and with punishment, that he may execute judgment upon earth.

 7. And when injustice and sin and reviling and oppression and all the deeds will increase, and falling-off and reviling and uncleanness will increase; there will be a great punishment from heaven upon them all, and the holy Lord will come forth in anger, and with punishment, that he may pass judgment on the earth.

 7. And when sin and unrighteousness and blasphemy And violence in all kinds of deeds increase, And apostasy and transgression and uncleanness increase, A great chastisement shall come from heaven upon all these, And the holy Lord will come forth with wrath and chastisement To execute judgement on earth.

 7. När derföre orättfärdighet, synd, hädelse, tyranni och allehanda onda gerningar tillvexa, och när öfverträdelse, ogudaktighet och orenhet föröka sig, då skall ett stort straff sändas dem alla från himmelen. Den helige Herren skall gå fram i vrede, och öfver dem alla skall från himmelen komma ett stort straff. Den helige Herren skall gå fram i vrede och med bestraffning, på det Han må verkställa dom på jorden.

 7. Och när då orättvisa och synd och hädelse och våld och affall och brott och orenhet och all ondska tilltaga på jorden, skall en stor straffdom från himmelen komma öfver henne, och den helige Herren skall framträda med vrede och vedergällning för att hålla dom på jorden.
8. In those days oppression shall be cut off from its roots, and iniquity with fraud shall be eradicated, perishing from under heaven.

 8. And in those days oppression will be cut off from its roots, and the roots of injustice together with deception, and they will be destroyed from under heaven.

 8. In those days violence shall be cut off from its roots, And the roots of unrighteousness together with deceit, And they shall be destroyed from under heaven.

 8. I dessa dagar skall förtrycket afhuggas från sin rot, och orättfärdigheten och bedrägeriet skola uppryckas vid roten och förgås under himmelen.

 8. I de dagarna skall våldet bortskäras från sina rötter, likaså orättvisan och bedrägeriet, och de skola förgås och försvinna.
9. Every place of strength (128) shall be surrendered with its inhabitants; with fire shall it be burnt. They shall be brought from every part of the earth, and be cast into a judgment of fire. They shall perish in wrath, and by a judgment overpowering them for ever.

 9. And all the pictures of the heathens will be given away; the towers will be burned by fire, and they will be removed from the whole earth, and will be thrown into a condemnation of fire, and will be destroyed in anger, and in a strong judgment which will be to eternity.

10. Righteousness shall be raised up from slumber; and wisdom shall be raised up, and conferred upon them.

 10. And the just one will arise from sleep, and wisdom will arise and will be given to them.

11. Then shall the roots of iniquity be cut off; sinners perish by the sword; and blasphemers be annihilated everywhere. Those who meditate oppression, and those who blaspheme, by the sword shall perish.

 11. And then the roots of injustice will be cut off, and the sinners will be destroyed with the sword, and the roots of the revilers will be cut off in every place, and those who contemplate oppression and revile will be destroyed by the edge of the sword. —

 11. [And after that the roots of unrighteousness shall be cut off, and the sinners shall be destroyed by the sword... shall be cut off from the blasphemers in every place, and those who plan violence and those who commit blasphemy shall perish by the sword.]

 11. Då skola orättfärdighetens rötter afhuggas, syndare förgås genom svärdet, och smädare allestädes tillintetgöras. De som vilja förtrycka och de som smäda skola förgås genom svärdet.

 11. Och därefter varda orättfärdighetens rötter afskurna, och syndarna skola omkomma genom svärd. För hädarna blifva de afskurna på hvarje ort och för dem som hafva våldsdåd i sinnet och för dem som smäda; de skola omkomma genom svärd.
12. Afterwards there shall be another week, the eighth (137) of righteousness, to which shall be given a sword to execute judgment and justice upon all oppressors. Sinners shall be delivered up into the hands of the righteous,

(137) The beginning of the eighth Millennium.

 12. And after that there will be another week, the eighth, that of justice, and the sword will be given to it, that it may pass judgment and justice on those who practice injustice, and the sinners will be delivered into the hands of the just.

 12. [And after that there shall be another, the eighth week, that of righteousness, And a sword shall be given to it that a righteous judgement may be executed on the oppressors, And sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous.

 12. [Nu skall komma en annan vecka, den åttonde af rättfärdighet, åt hvilken skall gifvas ett svärd, att verkställa dom och rättvisa på alla förtryckare. Syndare skola öfverlemnas i de rättfärdigas händer, *)

 12. Och sedan kommer en annan vecka, den åttonde, rättfärdighetens, och henne skall gifvas ett svärd, att dom och rättvisa må drabba dem som utöfva förtryck och syndarna öfverantvardas i de rättfärdigas händer.
13. who during its completion shall acquire habitations by their righteousness; and the house of the great King shall be established for celebrations for ever.

 13. And in the end of it they will acquire houses through their justice, and they will build a house to the Great King as an honor to eternity.

 13. And at its close they shall acquire houses through their righteousness, And a house shall be built for the Great King in glory for evermore, 14d And all mankind shall look to the path of uprightness.

 13. hvilka under dess fullbordan skola förvärfva boningar genom sin rättfärdighet; och den store Konungens hus skall uppbyggas för alltid.

 13. Och vid slutet af den veckan skola de genom sin rättfärdighet förvärfva sig boningar, och ett hus skall byggas till den store Konungens ära för alltid och för evigt.
14. After this, in the ninth week, shall the judgment of righteousness be revealed to the whole world. Every work of the ungodly shall disappear from the whole earth; the world shall be marked for destruction; and all men shall be on the watch for the path of integrity.

 14. And after that, in the ninth week, the judgment of justice will be revealed to all the world, and all the doings of the impious will depart from the world, and the world will be written out for destruction, and all men will look for the path of rectitude.

 14. a. And after that, in the ninth week, the righteous judgement shall be revealed to the whole world, b. And all the works of the godless shall vanish from all the earth, c. And the world shall be written down for destruction.

 14. Derefter skall i nionde veckan rättfärdighetens dom uppenbaras för hela verlden. Allt hvad de ogudaktiga gjort, skall försvinna från hela jorden; verlden skall blifva märkt till förstörelse, och alla menniskor skola ifrigt söka efter rättrådighetens väg.

 14. Och därefter, i den nionde veckan, varder den rättvisa domen uppenbarad för hela världen, och de ogudaktigas alla verk skola försvinna från jorden, och världen skall förberedas på sin undergång och alla människor blicka efter rättskaffenhetens väg.
15. And after this, on the seventh day of the tenth week, there shall be an everlasting judgment, which shall be executed upon the Watchers; and a spacious eternal heaven shall spring forth in the midst of the angels.

 15. And after this, in the tenth week, in the seventh part, there will be the judgment to eternity, which is held over the watchers and the great heavens of eternity which will spring forth from the midst of the angels.

 15. And after this, in the tenth week in the seventh part, There shall be the great eternal judgement, In which He will execute vengeance amongst the angels.

 15. Och härefter på sjunde dagen af tionde veckan skall det blifva en evigtvarande dom, hvilken skall verkställas på väktarne, och en rymlig evig himmel skall i hast uppkomma midt bland änglarna.

 15. Och sedan, i tionde veckan, i sjunde delen, skall domen äga rum för evigheten, den dom som skall hållas öfver väktarna; och den eviga, stora himmelen skall framspira ur änglarnas krets.
16. The former heaven shall depart and pass away; a new heaven shall appear; and all the celestial powers shall shine with sevenfold splendour for ever.

 17. Efteråt skall det likaledes blifva många veckor, hvilka skola evigt fortfara i godhet och i rättfärdighet. Ej heller skall synden blifva nämnd der i evighet.]

 17. Och därefter skola oräkneliga veckor komma i godhet och rättfärdighet, och från den stunden varder synden icke mera nämnd i evighet.
18. And now, my children, I will describe and point out to you the path of righteousness and the path of oppression. I will again point them out to you, that you may know what is to come.

 18. And now I tell you, my children, and show you the paths of justice and the paths of oppression, and I will show them to you again that ye may know what will come.

 18. And now I tell you, my sons, and show you The paths of righteousness and the paths of violence. Yea, I will show them to you again That ye may know what will come to pass.

 18. Och nu, mina barn, skall jag beskrifva och utvisa för eder rättfärdighetens väg, och förtryckets väg. Jag skall å nyo utvisa dem för eder, på det J mågen veta, hvad som komma skall.

 18. Och nu säger jag eder, mina söner, och visar eder rättvisans och våldets vägar och skall ånyo visa eder dem, att I mån veta hvad som skall ske.
19. Hear now, my children, and walk in the path of righteousness, but shun that of oppression; for all who walk in the path of iniquity shall perish for ever.

 19. And now hear, my children, and walk in the paths of justice, and do not walk in the paths of oppression, for they will be destroyed in eternity who walk in the paths of injustice.

 19. And now, hearken unto me, my sons, And walk in the paths of righteousness, And walk not in the paths of violence; For all who walk in the paths of unrighteousness shall perish for ever.'
