Will the real heaven please stand up?
In a consequent system of thought, one follows the thoughts to the end, and where they lead. One doesn't stop where things get uncomfortable, or differ from tradition or ingrown ideas. If one believes that Gen. 6 is talking about angels mating with humans, one cannot continue upholding a theology that was based on the "sons of Seth" idea. It was from the sons of Seth idea, that the conception of angels as noncorporeal substances came. Reading Gen. 6 without presuppositions does not lead to that conception. It tells you that angels do have physical bodies, although, as we see later on in scripture, they also have the ability to alter into a spiritual state. It is also from the sons of Seth idea, that the conception of angels assuming bodies, when they are on earth, has come. According to SOS (sons of Seth) thought, angels are noncorporeal, so when they appear on earth, in human form, they must "assume" a body. But an assumed body can of course not produce living offspring. Therefore, if one believes Gen. 6 are angels, the idea of angels assuming bodies is not consistent.
There is also the conception of God's heaven being in some dimension outside the physical universe. This is also born from the SOS theory. Noncorporeal angels cannot live in a corporeal heaven, so heaven must be outside our 3d existence. But as we now know that angels do have physical bodies, our conception of heaven must change, and line up with that. Physical bodies must have a physical place to be in. A 3d body cannot live in a 0d existence. Thus, heaven is a 3d existence. This we know also from scripture where it says that the heaven of heavens cannot contain God the Father (1 Kings. 8:27). The highest heaven thus is a container, a space with 3 dimensions. But of course, it is not big enough to contain the only being that is not subject to the 3d existence. I'll prove this further to you. Every created thing has a shape. A shape is a limitation in the room. A shape doesn't float around formlessly. It has borders, which makes its shape. The Bible tells us that human spirits have a shape. Therefore, the human spirit, although when dead has no body of flesh, still has a shape, a form, that is three-dimensional. Therefore, the spirits of the dead are in this universe. This is further proven by scriptures that say that evil spirits abide in deserts, and deserted places (Matt. 12:43, Isa. 13:19-21). These beings are not part of some other mysterious dimension. They live, or abide, if they are dead, in the same physical universe as we do. The difference is that they are invisible to us, and mostly undetectable. But some say that animals have an ability to detect, or sniff spirits. Do animals look into parallel universes, then? No of course not, but they have abilities to be aware of MORE of this world, than we do.

The next thing to accept, when coming to know that angels indeed have bodies like ours - although as I said, they are also able to act and alter into a spiritual state - and that they do need a physical room to exist in, like we do - is that their world cannot be much different than ours. If our natural existence requires a planet to live on, then if angels are beings very much like us and even capable of breeding children with us, it would be a long stretch to assume that their world is not a planet like ours. It is the most logical conclusion from what the Bible tells us about angels, and humans, that angels therefore are a kind of humans, that one time in the history of the universe, lived on other planets.
Now, here comes an area of thought, that must be deeper considered. Does this mean that science is right when they say that the universe probably is teeming with life? No, that idea is based on evolution. They think that everywhere where the conditions are right, life will start. That is not an idea one can get from the Bible. So if there is or once was life in the universe, outside this world, it must have been a creation of God, like when he created this world. Does the Bible say anything about such a creation? Well, you cannot come to any other conclusion when you read that angels have mated with humans. That tells us there are, or once were, one or more planets except this one, that has or had (biological) life.
Why am I saying has or had life? Why not directly come to the conclusion from what we have found earlier, that the universe indeed is full of life, but that God created it? Well, there are places in the Bible, that seems to contradict that. The fall of Lucifer depicted in Isa. 14 and Ezek. 28 seems to tell a story of an earlier creation, where Lucifer and a population under him fell into rebellion and were destroyed. I would say that the supernovas and the nebulas that can be seen in powerful telescopes are the proof of that. Those are worlds that were destroyed many thousands of years ago. We also see, so they tell us, new worlds forming. So, knowing that this is God in action, he seems to be in a restitution work, replacing old dead worlds with new ones. And from the unique position this world has, according to scripture, it seems logical to conclude that our world is the first of these new worlds to be created. I could dig up more scriptures to support this, but this will do for now. I don't believe there is life like ours elsewhere, like science do. Or 'ancient astronaut' proponents do. (Although I don't exclude that there may be such life in other, distant galaxies).
When you have come this far, you will realize that there is much in the Bible that reminds of science fiction. But here comes such a situation, where one mustn't stop following the thought, because it gets uncomfortable. Rather, we must go on, and then realize, that science fiction may have been invented, to prohibit man from seeing the real, divine science of the heavenlies. The thought of Christian belief resembling any thing like science fiction, is abhorring to most christians. Oh no, not that. It's an automatic reflex, that makes you stay away from the subject. Not the little green men! And yet, behind that smokescreen lies so much of the truth. So don't stop. Don't supress the Spirit of God when he gives you revelation, and illumination. What is there to be afraid of? Fear God instead of men.
The universe, with its stars and planets, are a part of God's creation. God had a plan when he made them. They are not meaningless objects in the sky. But most christians view them as such. Beautiful, but largely meaningless. Only those closest to us that we use for times and seasons are useful, all the others, and they are the majority, are totally meaningless in modern christian thought. The only explanation they can come up with, is God made them for his glory. No, God is not an egomaniac. The scripture tells us God made it all for his Son, Jesus Christ. And we know that we, sons of God, have always been included in that thought, as the Son's Bride. God made it for his Son and his Son's Bride. That's what a Father would do.
If God gave the angels (the heavenly sons of God), the ability to procreate, doesn't that tell us something about the other stars and planets? It would be a blatant denial to think otherwise. The truth is staring us in the face, just go outside a clear evening and watch. Worlds like our. Thousands, millions. But no, he made them just to watch upon from the earth. Can't you see how stupid that idea is, and must seem to thinking, logical unbelievers? Why did God give us the ability to think if we are not to use it?
Follow the thoughts, and you will end up with a true, biblical cosmology, and celestiology, and angelology, and still be in full harmony with the Scriptures, yes, much more in harmony, than before. This is not a dead-end street, this is a portal into the real heaven, and heavenly world.
